Not the experience I expected...

I have loved Jokoy's comedy for years, but never had the opportunity to see him until now. The funniest thing about his comedy are the jokes he does about his mom/family/upbringing, yet he only did 1 or 2 quick jokes about that. He spent 70% of the time, interacting with specific guests in the audience and then had a very large rant, about the prejudices of his race in society. I'm all for using your platform to convey a message, but when people pay good money to hear comedy, it's pretty disappointing to sit through something that isn't. If we have purchased tickets to see you live, it means we already support you, your race and everything about you, so it is not the right time to take up 'our time', with a serious rant. The very thing that he ranted about (being asked not to do a joke with an accent, about his mom), was the thing he gave into and did NOT do! We came to hear that adorable accent when he tells his mom jokes and yet, he avoided doing that entirely. On social media, you see clips of his performances and it gets you interested in seeing him live, but when you actually pay to see it, you don't receive what you expected. Sadly, the best thing about his show, was his special guest at the end, BoyzIIMen. Unfortunately, I would not pay to see Jokoy live again. So disappointing.
